This stunning building on the Singapore River is a leading museum of Asian antiquities and decorative arts, with a huge collection spanning many centuries and geographies from China, Japan and the Ottoman Empire to maritime Southeast Asia and even the most remote communities of the Nusantara. While the first two floors cover maritime trade and faith and belief, save plenty of time for the recently reimagined third-floor Materials and Design galleries, with a special focus on fashion, textiles, jewellery and ceramics.
