Kuta Beach
Like its namesake in Bali, Kuta Beach is the hub for surfers exploring Lombok. Popular breaks include Seger and Mawi beaches, as well as the bay just in front of the main village of Kuta. Waves range from beginner to very advanced.
Desert PointÂ
Top surfers flock here to score shots of huge barrels exploding on a shallow reef. Even if you lose your nerve and decide to stay on the beach, you’ll have a front-row seat for some of the best surfing anywhere in the world.
SenggigiÂ
Just across the channel from the Gilis, Senggigi is the nearest break to the islands. Typically, a more consistent wave is found here than those at Gili Trawangan. It’s a good option for those who want to stay close to the Gilis.
