Singapore’s drinking scene is flourishing, and it’s all too easy to go bar-hopping all night. It’s home to some of the best bars in Asia (even the world), and with hotspots like Keong Saik and Club Street buzzing till the wee hours every weekend, you can’t accuse the Lion City of being boring.
What sweetens the pot here are the plethora of happy hour promotions available in Singapore, with popular hangouts like Jigger & Pony and Last Word offering some of the most attractive deals. Here are 12 bars you should check out for wallet-friendly pours.
1. Jigger & Pony
World-class cocktails at a steal
Cocktail connoisseurs in Singapore will undoubtedly be acquainted with Jigger & Pony, an acclaimed bar that’s become a regular fixture on the World’s Top 50 Bars list (#14 in the world and #2 in Asia in 2023). The bar is currently housed in Amara Singapore, and features a polished, dark wood counter that lends it an old-world charm.
Fittingly, the cocktails often feature a vintage twist. The happy hour menu includes classics like the Negroni – made with Fords Gin, Cinzano Rosso and Campari – and a Cocktail of the Month like November’s Blood & Sand (Naked Malt Whisky, port wine, cherry, lemon, orange). Snag a seat at the communal table, made from repurposed wood from its original Amoy Street bar, if you’re feeling social.
The deal: From 6pm to 7.30pm daily, enjoy special prices on a selection of cocktails, wines and beer. Happy hour cocktails are $19 each.
2. Nobu
Japanese-inspired tipples with a side of zen
For a Happy Hour with a touch of elegance, look no further than Nobu at Four Seasons Singapore on bustling Orchard Road. The restaurant’s stylish wood-accented bar proffers a sharp curation of cocktails by Head Bartender John Paul, such as the sophisticated Samurai Mule, which features Hokusetsu Junmai Sake instead of vodka.
Complement your libations with Nobu’s signature Japanese-Peruvian bar bites like hot miso chips served with tuna and scallop. Window-side seats provide a charming view of Nobu’s sculpted Japanese garden.
The deal: Nobu’s Social Hour runs from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on weekdays. Cocktails are $16 each, and draft beer is also available at $10.
3. Lion Brewery Co.
Sessionable local craft beers straight from the tank
Happy Hour starts early at the recently rebranded local brewpub (formerly Thirty Six Brewlab) on Club Street. From opening to 7pm, customers get 20% off selected Lion Brewery Co. beers like the Island Lager and Kaiser Kölsch. There are also discounts on wines by the glass, as well as their cocktails on tap such as the Cucumber & Lime G&T.
Hungry? There’s a fairly extensive food menu with hearty pub classics including shepherd’s pie and fish & chips to satiate any cravings.
Look out for their weekly Pressure Hour, a unique promotion on Thursdays where free beer flows from 6pm to 7pm until anyone visits the restroom or leaves the bar.
The deal: 20% off selected Lion Brewery Co pints and selected wines by the glass.
4. Bar Square
High-rise hidden gem in the middle of Bugis
Come cocktail hour, people tend to flock to Andaz Singapore’s scenic rooftop bar Mr Stork. But the hotel has another bar-with-a-view that’s sometimes overlooked – Bar Square on its 25th floor. The bright and airy communal lounge offers signature cocktails, wines by the glass and beers, including Andaz’s own pilsner.
Try Green Gardens, which pays tribute to Gardens by the Bay, a refreshing, balanced blend of vida mezcal, St-Germain, green chartreuse, super cucumber, and calamansi. For couples, the two-seater by the bar offers a little more privacy to sip champagne as the sun sets.
The deal: Happy hour runs from 4pm to 7pm on weekdays and 3pm to 7pm on weekends. Wines start from $13, and the Singapore-inspired cocktails are available at $15 instead of the usual $26.
5. Ginett
For a casual French-style day out with friends
From 5pm to 7pm, it’s Cocktail O’Clock at Ginett, when selected cocktails are one-for-one. Tipples here are mainly refreshing aperitifs like New York Sour and St-Germain Spritz, perfect to pair with a couple of Fine de Claire oysters or a charcuterie board.
Cocktail selections rotate weekly so there’s always something new to look forward to. Hotel G’s laidback French bistro is smack-dab in bustling Middle Road, so grab a street-facing table for some quality people watching – if weather permits.
The deal: Cocktails are one-for-one from 5pm to 7pm, Tuesdays to Friday, all at $16++.
6. White Shades
Elevated pub favourites on a rooftop terrace

For the moment, there are four easy-going draft cocktails available, including the Elderflower’s Dew (U.P. $16), made with St-Germain elderflower liqueur, gin and bubbles.
If you’re peckish, crowd-pleasing bar grub like the bite-sized barramundi fish tacos or the crispy WS wings are highly recommended.
The comfortable Paris bistro chairs lend a breezy charm to the terrace, and the awning provides shade on hot days – but of course, there’s always boozy gelato downstairs to seek some respite in.
The deal: Rooftop’s Sunset Hour runs from 5pm to 7pm from Mondays to Saturdays, with four tapped cocktails and draft beers at $10.
7. Live Twice
Refined libations at a retro Japanese lounge
Live Twice, Jigger & Pony Group’s elegant, minimalist cocktail bar on trendy Bukit Pasoh, is inspired by mid-century Japan. Its intimate wood-panelled space is furnished with an eclectic selection of beautiful vintage pieces, including original Falcon armchairs.
The bar’s cocktail programme follows through with the theme, incorporating Japanese craft spirits and sake into their cocktails. Happy hour drinks here are priced at $18 and include Japanese-inflected creations like the Shiso Fizz made with daiyame shochu, shiso and umeboshi (preserved Japanese plums). Bites are equally well-executed – don’t make the mistake of leaving without ordering at least one of the perennially popular sandos.
The deal: Cocktails are $18 during Happy Hour from 6pm to 8pm daily, except Tuesdays.
8. RVLT
For oenophiles with a sense of adventure
Natural wine bar RVLT on the up-and-coming Carpenter Street is celebrating its 6th anniversary by rewarding its guests with a rare Happy Hour promotion this year. Progressive discounts mean the more bottles you buy, the bigger the discount.
The offer starts from 6% off the first bottle, 12% off if you get two bottles, 18% off if you purchase a third, and 24% off all bottles of wine if you order more than four bottles.
Soak up all the excellent vino with some just-as-excellent food, like the beef tartare with smoked egg yolk and mustard ginger.
