This footwear startup just debuted a range of colourful flip-flops with soles made from sugarcane. The company has previously released a pair of sneakers that’s made from eucalyptus fibres.
2. Reebok
The athletic behemoth recently launched a pair of sneakers with soles derived from corn, an insole made using castor bean oil and an upper that contains 100% cotton as part of its Cotton + Corn initiative.
3. Stella McCartney x Adidas
As part of her long-standing collaboration with Adidas, designer Stella McCartney put out a vegan leather version of the athletic label’s timeless Stan Smith silhouette.
4. Rothys
It took a long, three-year research process for the company to come up with its flats and loafers made out of recycled plastic water bottles. The shoes are made out of a unique knitted material that also make them easily machine-washable.
5. Beyond Skin
Eco-friendly fashionistas can look to this vegan and vegetarian brand, which has a line of shoes made from a faux suede material derived from 100% recycled PET plastics.
