The Astria Type A jadeite bangle from the fine-jewellery designer’s latest collection is crowned with a diamond-embellished, solid 18k rose gold clasp featuring Peranakan-inspired filigree. The bangles range from $8,000-$100,000.
2. Carrie K
This playful brand has plenty of treats: an 8mm classic freshwater pearl necklace ($1,538 for 30 inches) or these 9k white gold rings – the green and pink amethyst ($388) and sky blue topaz ($498) stones are inspired by Peranakan tiles.
3. Caratell
While luxe Singaporean jewellery house Caratell is better known for its intricate and ornate pieces, it’s the more simple rings – such as these stacked yellow and white gold diamond ones ($2,800-$11,200) that get our vote.
4. State Property
The new Unfold collection from edgy State Property was inspired by astronomy, says affable co-founder Afzal Imram. A standout are these 18k black gold Ellipses earrings with South Sea pearls and diamonds ($9,470).
5. Bynd Artisan
This custom bookbinding and leathercraft atelier has proven a huge hit in Singapore. Our favourite is this teal travel sleeve ($210), which can be personalised with the brand’s in-house debossing service.

8. Onlewo
This whimsical design studio creates original fabric designs that are adorned with local sensibilities. This Tiong Bahru silk scarf ($130) nods to the trendy neighbourhood that’s famous for its pre-war Art Deco houses.
9. o+
A stylish suite of minimalist shades and spectacles are available from this hand-crafted eyewear atelier. These stainless steel Taylor Clip shades with premium CR-39, UV400 lenses and scratch-resistant coating are a steal at just $79.
10. One.61
Our favourite from this luxury brand is this new geometric Esplanade clutch (price on request). Inlaid with mother-of-pearl and studded with gold spikes, it’s inspired by the Little Red Dot’s famous durian-shaped structure.
