The former home of the late landscape architect Bewis Bawa, this tropical garden with many private nooks, water steps and ponds is only a 30-minute drive up north from Lunuganga, the home of Geoffery Bawa, Bewis’ brother. Designed in the late 1920s, all tree-clad walkways in the sprawling garden lead to the main house, which is replete with open showers and sculptures to behold. It’s open every day from 9am to 4pm for self-guided visits.
