The former home of the late landscape architect Bewis Bawa, this tropical garden with many private nooks, water steps and ponds is only a 30-minute drive up north from Lunuganga, the home of Geoffery Bawa, Bewis’ brother. Designed in the late 1920s, all tree-clad walkaways here lead to the main house with open showers, sculptures and artwork, where Bewis once resided. It’s open every day from 9 am to 4 pm for self-guided visits.
