Tucked behind a nondescript door in Rosebank, Sin + Tax is a hidden gem for cocktail aficionados. Duck into an alley between a carpark and a Chinese restaurant currently under construction (previously a pizzeria) to find an unmarked door. It’ll lead you to a hidden courtyard with ivy-lined walls and cute neon pink signs. Their menu changes several times a year, but always offers some of the best cocktails in Johannesburg – so good that they were ranked #94 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list in 2023, in fact.
