Opened in 1938, Pierluigi has always specialised in seafood and bills itself as a place where tradition and high gastronomy meet. The variety of fish on the menu is certainly impressive, with turbot, red mullet, bream and sole making regular appearances. The restaurant’s location is also a winner, the Regola district being one of central Rome’s least touristy and most rewarding places to visit.
