This is one of Rome’s largest palazzos and one of the very last to still be in the hands of the original noble family, the Doria Pamphiljs, who produced several popes. The stunning, guilded gallery, with its endless mirrors and chandeliers could rival Versailles. And don’t miss Velazquez’s masterful portrait of Pope Innocent X at the far end of the hall.
