An institution of sorts, Nalli is synonymous with silk saris. The simple white building in crowded Panagal Park continues to attract throngs of shoppers. Walk into the well-lit air-conditioned store and be greeted by salespeople manning shelves laden with saris in kaleidoscopic colours and different fabrics. Keeping with the times, Nalli has expanded beyond saris, and now sells Indo-Western apparel, home furnishings and jewellery.
