The aptly named Les Foodies is the brainchild of founder Alex Kogan and chef Davide Galloni, who met at the famed Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. Galloni has 14 years of experience across four continents under his belt and aims to bring flavours inspired by his travels in Mongolia, Australia, Mexico, Italy and Spain to the table. Chicken from the Gers region in southwest France is paired with grape and black couscous and smeared with a Penang sauce, with the recipe for the latter courtesy of Galloni’s grandmother. The restaurant’s Art Deco theme, complete with plush green velvet booths and globe lamps, makes it a romantic setting for dinner for two.
