It’s no surprise that the city’s most iconic views come from atop the extinct volcano today known as Victoria Peak. At 554 metres above sea level, the entire city and wider region is laid out before you in a vista that underscores Hong Kong’s incredible energy. On a clear day you can see all the way to the border of Mainland China. Lines for the legendary climb on the Peak Tram funicular railway can be epic, so consider a bus or taxi up and the tram down.
