Famed for its impressive natural landscapes, Cape Town also boasts an intriguing history, rich cultural heritage, dazzling city life and world-class wining and dining.

Majestically sandwiched between dramatic mountains and stunning coastlines, Cape Town’s beautiful setting is well known. What many visitors may be surprised to discover is that besides its spectacular nature, the so-called Mother City also offers unique and iconic attractions, a cosmopolitan urban experience, heavenly food and buzzing nightlife. Cape Town’s culture is as diverse as it is vibrant, and its streets ooze a singular charm, largely unrivalled on the African continent. With phenomenal adventures waiting around every corner, it’s easy to see why Cape Town consistently ranks as one of the world’s top city destinations.
When to go:
Though Cape Town has something to offer through any season, the city really comes to life over the summer months (November through March). It’s at this time of the year that visitors can take full advantage of the incredible outdoor lifestyle for which the Cape has become so famous.
How to get around:
There is some reliable and cheap public transportation available (like buses and trains), however for optimum efficiency it would be recommended for visitors to hire a car for the duration of their stay. Car rentals are inexpensive and most convenient. The city centre is walkable, though it would be advisable not to walk around at night or in unknown areas due to safety concerns. Alternatively do as the locals do and use a mobile taxi app, like Uber or Taxify. They’re reliable, cheap and efficient.
