The sold-out Restaurant A380 @Changi event may have concluded last weekend, but you can still recreate the airline’s dining experience at home. Each step of the process has been given the signature Singapore Airlines (SIA) brand of hospitality you’ve come to know and love – from the dedicated cabin crew concierge who will guide you through the product options and offer menu recommendations to the option of booking a chef to help reheat, plate and serve your meal.
Having recently tried the First Class For 2: Georges Blanc Menu, Wine & Dine, Singapore to Paris, we share seven compelling reasons to book a dining package for yourself.
1. There are 31 permutations to choose from
Be spoiled for choice with 31 different meal packages to choose from, ranging from S$258 to S$888. Take your pick from a variety of cuisines – such as French, Australian, Japanese or Indian, and even vegetarian options – and choose whether you would like to complement your meal with wine or champagne, with tableware or not.
2. All meals are specially curated by chefs from SIA’s International Culinary Panel
Enjoy restaurant-quality meals with menus designed by three Michelin-starred chef Georges Blanc; eminent MasterChef Australia judge Matt Moran; famed kaiseki master Yoshihiro Murata and celebrity chef extraordinaire Sanjeev Kapoor. Extra care has been taken to ensure the menu items can be re-heated at home without compromising on the flavours. The food has also been packed in a manner to make it easy for you to easily re-heat and plate the dishes.
That’s not all – even the tipples are carefully handpicked by SIA’s panel of wine experts. The curated selection features the finest vintages from France. Plus, if you select a First Class menu, you get a choice of First Class Champagne or two Premier Cru wines.
3. You get to savour delicacies from around the world…
Even if travel is limited for the time being, you can still let your tastebuds roam internationally with cuisine from around the world made with fine-quality ingredients.
4. …as well as beloved local flavours
From frequent fliers on Singapore Airlines to patrons of Restaurant A380 @Changi, one dish that often gets lauded is the humble satay appetiser. The chicken satay is marinated in SIA’s signature spices and charcoal-grilled over an open flame for that luscious smoky flavour. The juicy skewers are paired with the signature satay sauce, made with freshly roasted and ground peanuts. For the vegetarian menu by Kapoor, the satay was made with Impossible Meat and response to the taste has been very positive.
5. The dining experience is enhanced with music and wine…
When you purchase a dining package, you get access to a digital platform where you can view welcome message from SIA crew, the ICP chefs and the wine experts. For added ambience, you can also choose to play the specially curated playlist for the menu you chose. The digital platform also includes interactive cabin videos that allow you to see a virtual version of the SIA fleet of aircraft.
6. …and even exquisite tableware from Lalique, Wedgwood or Narumi
For the royal treatment, have your meal plated on a set of tableware exclusively designed for SIA by renowned brands Lalique, Wedgwood or Narumi. The cherry on the cake is specially designed Lalique amenities for First Class diners or exclusive Penhaligon’s amenity kits for Business Class diners.
7. Plus, you get the chance to win another meal!
If you’ve ordered a SIA@Home dining package, share your experience with the airline and stand to win a SIA@Home First Class Signatures package for yourself, and an opportunity to gift another of the same package to a friend! Each package comprises of First Class champagne, Oscietra caviar, signature satay and Lalique amenity kits.
