Set along a row of mid-19th century townhouses in Bayswater, just a short walk from Hyde Park, InHabit Queen’s Gardens prides itself on being both environmentally and socially conscious. Close to 100% of the waste from the hotel’s construction was reused or recycled through several eco-conscious initiatives. Hints of Scandinavian style can be spotted in the simplicity and craftsmanship of the furniture; while a quintessential British design has been preserved in the exterior.
Wellness is at the forefront and can be experienced at Inhale at Inhabit, the hotel’s wellness centre. In addition to daily yoga and meditation classes, the centre is equipped with workout essentials and both a sauna and steam room.
To save guests from digital overload, televisions are hidden behind sliding wooden cabinets. Each of the 158 rooms are also cleverly equipped with “phone lock-boxes”, which have been integrated into the bedside tables.
Screen-free time can be enjoyed relaxing in the room or while enjoying the plant-based cuisine from the hotel’s restaurant, Yeotown. Breakfast is categorised into different feelings, with Power being found through blue spirulina blueberry pancakes, Balance in the form of beetroot and apple overnight oats, or Joy with a simple smashed avocado on toast.
