For a taste of life as a 19th-century Korean aristocrat, book a room at Rakkojae. Perhaps the loveliest place to stay in Seoul, it’s set in a hanok (traditional wooden, tile-roofed house) restored by master carpenter Young Jin Chung, whom the government has designated an official national treasure. Tea ceremony and kimchi-making experiences are also offered here.
