One of the capital’s most iconic hotels, The Okura opened its doors in 1962 and quickly became renowned for its architectural and interior design. The hotel underwent a full rebuild in 2015 and reopened as The Okura Tokyo in 2019. While it’s now a state-of-the-art, modern hotel, The Okura maintains a link to its illustrious past through its lobby, which was rebuilt to look and feel exactly like the original.
The hotel consists of two main buildings with a total of 508 guest rooms. Its Heritage Wing features rooms with a modern Japanese aesthetic, while the rooms in the Prestige Tower boast floor-to-ceiling windows that give guests with breathtaking views of Tokyo’s cityscape from every room.
