This warren of streets stretching south from the vast Palais de Justice to Brussels-Midi station is the best place in Brussels for vintage homewares, furniture and fashion. Rue Haute and Rue Blaes are the main arteries – lined with atmospheric cafes and emporia stuffed with one-off finds (try Passage 125). Continue south for the huge flea market on Place du Jeu de Balle, keeping your eyes peeled as you go for the array of comic murals.
