Is the entertainment industry really as glamorous as it seems? There’s only one way to find out. Los Angeles’ film and television studios are home to your favourite motion pictures and shows, and a tour is the perfect way to find out what goes on behind-the-scenes.
From exploring the soundstage and prop warehouses to seeing what it feels like to be on screen with rides and novelty food, here’s what’s on offer in Hollywood.
Explore over 100 years of history here with an intimate behind-the-scenes tour that lets you see how their movies and television shows are made. Their biggest hits include Forrest Gump, Terminator and I Love Lucy.
With the opportunity to walk around while producers, crew and talent are at work, you can wander through the fake Big Apple at their New York Backlot, as well as the famous Bronson Gate (above), Paramount Studio’s entry point featured in the film Sunset Boulevard. The Prop Warehouse is home to the original T-800 from Terminator as well as Bumblebee from Transformers.
Upgrade the two-hour experience to a VIP Tour and you’ll get four-and-a-half hours of all that, plus special effects, a look at the archives, and a meal at an exclusive eatery. Head there at night for access to hidden passageways and alleys as part of the After Dark Tour.
