Opened just this April, Six Senses Duxton is the first of two heritage buildings that will make up Six Senses Singapore – the luxury hospitality brand’s very first urban hotel. Situated on Duxton Hill across a row of lovingly restored shophouses, the hotel consists of 49 guest rooms conceptualised by renowned designer Anouska Hempel. The interiors incorporate Chinese, Malay and European design elements, including large golden fans and wallpaper with Chinese calligraphy. There’s also an in-house TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) practitioner available for consultation, complete with a medicinal herbal dispensary. Six Senses Maxwell, the group’s other Singaporean property, is slated to open in the second half of 2018.
