1. French Open, Paris
This year’s edition of the tennis tourney runs from 21 May to 10 June. The event will see the likes of Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka competing at Roland-Garros.
2. DBS Marina Regatta, Singapore
Over 100 teams will battle it out in a stellar display of grit and camaraderie at this dragon boating event, which takes place across two weekends (26 to 27 May and 2 to 3 June).
3. Stockholm Marathon, Stockholm
The marathon – which takes place on 2 June – will chart a path through each of the city’s seven districts. Runners can refuel with coffee, energy tablets and salted gherkins at refreshment stations.
4. F1 Grand Prix, Montreal
The Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve will be hosting the Canadian Grand Prix from 8 to 10 June. Defending champion Lewis Hamilton has claimed the title a total of six times.
5. US Open Championship, New York
This premier golfing event will be held from 11 to 17 June. It’s one of four Grand Slam golf tournaments, with the others being the Masters, the PGA Championship and the British Open.
