1. Market Halls West End, London
Adding to London’s many food halls and featuring a total floor area of 3,480m², Market Halls West End is tipped to be the largest in the UK when it opens in October. Located inside Oxford Street’s former BHS building, it will feature 16 dining and drinking concepts, a play area for kids and a demo kitchen.
2. Thai Town Marketplace, Los Angeles
When this new food hall opens in Los Angeles’ East Hollywood, it hopes to create 40 jobs through the Thai Community Development Center. The 420m² marketplace, which will double as an incubator space, will be home to 12 food stalls and six retail kiosks.
3. The Garage, Manila
Work up an appetite at three virtual reality gaming zones before sampling the food trucks at The Garage in Manila. Located within the City of Dreams complex, this unconventional food park is the first of its kind in the Philippines to integrate gaming and dining so intimately.
4. Lyric Market, Houston
Lyric Market, which will bring two dozen new restaurants into Houston’s Theater District for the price of a cool US$58m. Highlights teased for the upcoming 2,880m² space include: a cocktail and tapas bar, a Texan barbecue, alfresco terraces and an underground speakeasy.
