1. Gro Spiseri
Set in the beautiful rooftop glasshouse of an unassuming apartment block, the restaurant shares a space with ØsterGro, Denmark’s very first rooftop farm. Here, locally sourced produce is transformed into delectable dishes by the dedicated chefs and served communal-style at a long table. Go for the five-course dinner menu, which changes according to what fruits and vegetables are currently in season.
2. Café Glyptoteket
If you’re paying a visit to the Glyptoteket museum, be sure to stop by its in-house café. Situated near the gorgeous winter garden – a lush oasis in the centre of the museum filled with a dizzying array of plants – this is the perfect place to pause for a quick bite in between admiring the works of art. Try the chestnut tart that’s made with goat cheese, baked beetroot, blackberries and olives.
3. Gemyse
Located in the heart of the beautiful Tivoli Gardens, Gemyse is a garden-to-table restaurant where the menu is based around plants and natural wines. Organic meats and fish also feature, though vegetables are the true stars of the show. Feast on sharing plates of poached cod, crispy pork, herb dips, raw salads and roasted vegetables.
