With a smorgasbord of diverse cuisines on offer, it’s no wonder Singapore Changi Airport was ranked among the top three airports in Skytrax’s Best Airport Dining experience award category in 2017. It also clinched Skytrax’s World’s Best Airport accolade for the fifth consecutive year.
New to Terminal 3’s transit area is The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck. The brainchild of the Austrian-born American celebrity chef, who is behind one-Michelin-star restaurant Cut in Singapore, features his signature dishes along with treats exclusive to the airport. These include spicy chicken potstickers and Korean beef short ribs (below) with kimchi (pickled cabbage).
Over in Terminal 1’s transit area, enjoy a steaming bowl of Tom Yam noodles or tuck into green curry at halal Thai restaurant, Simple Eats. If you need a quick pick-me-up, grab a panini (grilled sandwich) and classic Italian coffee from Culto Caffe Ciocolato. Of course, travellers should not miss Singapore’s beloved hawker fare. Whether it’s peppery, aromatic bak kut teh (pork rib soup) or piquant laksa (rice noodles in a spicy coconut-milk broth), Singapore Food Street, a food court in Terminal 3’s transit area, and Killiney Kopitiam in the Terminal 1 and 3 transit areas come highly recommended. Bon appetit!
