As Singapore’s working world adjusts to a new normal, and struggling companies get back on their feet, co-working spaces are proving to be the solution many are looking for.
When co-founder Gaurav Joshi first launched Workbuddy in 2018, the focus was on freelancers and start-up companies. The Singapore-based app was built to provide the opportunity to work from various offices across the city. Based on the same model as ClassPass – which allows you to book fitness classes at various gyms – Workbuddy does the same for desks at some of the most creative spaces across Singapore.
The impact of Covid-19 has been huge on everyone and flexible workspaces are now appealing to a much broader market, from individuals to larger corporates. Working from home during the pandemic has proven to many that the days of working at a fixed office space from nine to five are over. However one model doesn’t fit all, and people still need a professional workspace where they can meet clients or focus on work without distractions. Many companies are downsizing their office space to reduce their overheads and are taking up flexible workspace memberships to support their teams. “The Workbuddy platform not only gives individuals access to the best workspaces across town, but it enables corporates to provide workspace solutions for their teams, as and when they need them,” Joshi says.
We asked Joshi to share his picks for the 10 best co-working spaces in Singapore
