Experience Seattle’s natural roots without having to leave the city. Discovery Park occupies more than 200 hectares on a bluff that overlooks Puget Sound. Take a walk along one of the tidal beaches, explore the forest groves and keep an eye out for bald eagles which sometimes nest in the area. The visitor centre offers environmental education classes and programmes like urban forest walks and low tide beach explorations, which require advance registration.
