A visit to a local pizzeria is a must when in New York, and you can’t go wrong with Paulie Gee’s. Owner and pizza enthusiast Paulie can often be found behind the counter, serving up wood-fired pies adorned with unusual toppings. Flavours include Edith’s Pastrami Reuben (Swiss, sauerkraut, pastrami, caraway seeds and Russian dressing) and Sake Mountain Way (fresh mozzarella and a tomato sauce made with garlic, onion, olive oil, basil, sake reduction and heavy cream). It can get extremely busy, so visit early before the pizza dough runs out.
