Taking its style cues from Ancient Egypt, the Wafi Mall conjures visions of pharaohs, pyramids and the great temple of Karnak. But amidst all the elaborate trappings lies a shopping and entertainment complex on a more manageable scale (both in size and price) than some of the city’s glitzier destinations. Of special interest is the on-site Khan Murjan Souk, which offers everything from carpets and rugs to Arabic perfumes and traditional kandoora headdresses.
