Phuket Town’s retro-inspired ice cream boutique has been a hit since it opened in 2015. Founder Torry Wongwattanakit studied at Berkey Creamery, a 155-year-old shop and research institute in the US, and then applied the knowledge he acquired to the flavours of his native island. Lychee sorbet, Phuket pineapple and fish sauce caramel – plus decidedly local options such as si tao sor (Thai-Chinese cookies) – are all handmade from scratch. Grab a scoop and have a seat in front of the vivid pink heritage building, or get a beautiful gift box filled with cookies and some local, colonial-inspired knick-knacks to take home.
