Every October, cinephiles and film industry insiders from around the globe gather at the Busan Cinema Center for the Busan International Film Festival. The building is worth visiting in other months for its colossal wavy roof, which becomes a swirling LED rainbow after nightfall. Under the midportion of the roof is the BIFF Theatre, which has Korea’s largest outdoor screen. Inside are smaller theatres, which screen indie films, classic flicks and local productions every day of the year.
