Opened in 2017, The Warehouse Hotel sits in a historic 1895 building near Roberston Quay that was once home to Singapore’s most popular disco. Today, under the creative direction of homegrown design agency Asylum and architecture studio Zarch Collaboratives, it’s been transformed into a modern 37-room boutique hotel. Nods to the building’s industrial heritage abound, with the lobby featuring a large brick wall; black wheels and cogs dangling from the ceiling; and pulley lights that hark back to the site’s involvement in the spice trade. Rooms feature a charcoal, slate and brown colour palette and come with Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speakers, Ashley & Co bath amenities and plush king-sized beds.
