With its breezy rooftop setting, colourful neon signs and communal high tables, Loof is a playful urban garden in the heart of the city. Head here to knock back a few beers during happy hour (5pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday) or enjoy one of the Southeast Asian-inspired cocktails on the menu. Standouts include the Kopi Cat (salted caramel vodka, local coffee, hazelnut, condensed milk and orgeat) and the Singapore Sour (a twist on the Singapore Sling made with vodka, sour plum extract, calamansi and soda). For bar bites, you can’t go wrong with the chilli crab waffle fries, which come with a delicious chilli sauce and blue crab dip. You can even pick up some souvenirs at The Mama Shop – Loof’s version of the traditional mom-and-pop store – on your way out.
