
An institution among Telok Ayer’s trendy shophouse restaurants, Park Bench Deli creates over-the-top, gourmet sandwiches inspired by North American deli classics. Perennial favourites include the pastrami reuben, with generous amounts of smoked-steamed beef brisket pastrami, Russian-dressing coleslaw and Swiss cheese between rye bread; and the Hot Fried Chicken, a Southern-style sandwich with spicy fried chicken thigh and Tex-Mex coleslaw on potato buns. But more than just a café, Park Bench Deli is a community. Its street culture-inspired interior is embellished with skateboards and overlapping posters, making for a funky locale for a cool crowd to congregate and connect through food.
