Enjoy the breeze as well as the greenery that Mount Eden has to offer. It’s manageable – even if you’re not an outdoorsy person. Simply take a bus from Newmarket Village up Mt Eden Road to the main gate where a 2km walk up the volcano will only take about an hour to complete and can be done without a guide. It will rejuvenate you and reward you with a 360-degree panoramic view of Auckland from the very top.
