Ranked number 37 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2021 list, Jungle Bird recently switched locations. It’s not a flamboyant tiki bar, but the kind that’s inspired by Old Malaya, with warm lights and wood, bamboo and rattan furnishings, and wallpapers of green palms. The friendly bartenders sporting Hawaiian-style shirts blend right into the scene. Of course, you’ll have to try their version of the Jungle Bird – which, classically, is a concoction of rum, Campari, pineapple juice, lime juice and sugar syrup that was invented in the 1970s, right here in Kuala Lumpur, at the old Hilton.
