Sitting at the base of a dramatic cliffside in the Ungasan Clifftop Resort, Sundays Beach Club promises beachside indulgence and a world-class drinking experience. Sundays is one of Bali’s most legendary beach clubs for good reason; its white sands and turquoise waters are a sight to behold.
The bar at Sundays would be worth checking out even if it didn’t have such an elite location. On the menu put together by renowned Australian chef James Viles is an extensive selection of drinks that cover classic beach club staples to handcrafted cocktails. Tequila lovers are in for a treat at Sundays – the beach club has a dedicated Tequila Menu. Available from 1–7 pm, the drink list has fun mixes like “The Creator” (Espolon Blanco, clarified watermelon juice, agave syrup and clear lemon) and the exotic “Black in White” (Jose Cuervo Reposado, black larva cordial, vegan drop and orange bitters).
If tequila isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other drinks to choose from. Refresh with signatures like the “Call Me Sundays”, a cocktail of Gordon’s Dry Gin, elderflower, calamansi and orange juice, or their bestseller, “Cool as a Cucumber”, with London dry gin, cucumber and mint. For those going alcohol-free, the mocktail menu has lots of mouthwatering options, while craft beers, canned spritzers and a selection of wines round out the rest of the list.
As far as the vibe goes, it’s great for those who like powder-soft sand and panoramic coastline views. Stay after sunset for a moody evening with bonfires and beanbags
