A 20-minute drive north of Ubud, these rice terraces are one of Bali’s most iconic attractions. Built using the Unesco World Heritage-listed subak (a traditional irrigation system dating back to the ninth century), the lush paddies are a feast for the eyes. You can either hike or station yourself at one of the surrounding open-air cafés to admire the verdant scenery.
