A cult favourite for those in the know, this intimate, izakaya-style watering hole is tucked away on the second floor of Pelaspas Dharmawangsa restaurant. It serves up experimental micro-cocktails based on classic films, songs and film characters. Among the options are Mr Pink (a nod to Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs), Jealous Lover (vodka with lemon bitters, amaretto and ginger ale) and the refreshing Ume Says (a mix of plum liquor and club soda garnished with dill leaves). For something stronger, there’s Psycho Killer (referencing a song by American band Talking Heads). Whatever you’re drinking, pair it with fried finger food like the jerk fried chicken fingers and the shrimp toasties. Even cooler: The DJ booth plays a wide range of tunes, and the bar show is later recorded into podcasts for patrons to relive the mood of a particular night.
