Goethe House in Frankfurt’s Innenstadt pays homage to the city’s most famous literary icon, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The rebuilt birthplace of the famous Faust author (the original building was destroyed by Allied air raids during World War II) is outfitted with reproduced as well as original furnishings, including the writing desk where Goethe once put pen to paper.
