Situated along the shop-fringed Königsallee thoroughfare, the five-star, nine-storey hotel is the grand dame of Düsseldorf’s hospitality scene. Built in 1812, it underwent an extensive renovation in the early noughties, before reopening in 2008 with brand-new plush furnishings and high-tech additions, including rainforest showers and touch-panel lighting and heating controls.
