Bar43 landed on boutique street Alley West in 2020, opposite the perennially popular Picasso Bar, kickstarting Siem Reap’s speakeasy revival. Despite staffing reshuffles, its USP remains the same four years later: a lively ambience, eye-popping design (leather sofas, ceiling panels, porthole-style windows) and inventive Khmer/Western mixology courtesy of head mixologist Rom Toich and team, with owner/MC Phally Khun hosting the party. Two karaoke rooms upstairs double the boozy customer pleasure; best-selling 43 Smash’s (bourbon, Guinness syrup, angostura bitters) heady kick lingers in the mouth after its initial lively kick.
