The only surviving traditional family home from the 1960s around Pub Street, this unique bar’s drinks menu is as distinctive as the setting, foregrounding potent Khmer-influenced herbal concoctions – some served in a teapot. Asana’s building was repurposed in 2012 by designer Guilhem Maitrepierre, with rice sacks for seats indoors, and aside from a Covid-19 hiatus has attracted a steady stream of curious visitors ever since. The bar hosts daily cocktail-making classes, guest DJs and bartenders; beverages include Ginger Mojito and Bloody Pari – named for owner Unn Sophary, known to everyone as Pari.
