11 cool hotels and stays off Singapore’s beaten path

When looking for accommodation in the Lion City, establishments down town and around iconic Marina Bay mostly come to mind. Yet hotels further afield open the doors to a different set of experiences and attractions. Besides, with an excellent public transit system across the tiny land mass that is Singapore, just about anywhere is easily accessible in less than a jiffy.
