The Big Apple is certainly not short of picture opportunities, but with so much to see during your precious holiday, it helps to know where the best places are to capture an image worth sharing with your Instagram followers.
The Maritime Hotel
Who needs a photo framing app with this nautical-themed hotel? Through its signature porthole windows, visitors inside get a cool glimpse of Manhattan’s West Chelsea neighbourhood. Those who have reserved a room can experience the views from one of their two Terrace Suites with private patios that even boast outdoor rain showers. The hotel is the perfect spot to watch the sunset, and snap pictures of the Hudson River and surrounding neighbourhoods.
High Line park
From huge art installations and world-class architecture to gorgeous flowers and Latin dance parties, the High Line is one of the best places to see New York from above. It’s a freight rail line transformed into a public park which runs along Manhattan’s West Side. Walk it from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th and 12th Avenues.
Classic Harbor Line yacht cruises
Some of Classic Harbor Line’s celebrity clientele include actresses Uma Thurman and Susan Sarandon, musicians Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz, as well as Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Depart from the Chelsea Pier for a day cruise on the classic 105-foot America 2.0 schooner to the Statue of Liberty, for the perfect picture of the iconic New York landmark.
