Check out these UK must-dos if you’re in the country.

1. Street-smart in London

When in London, check out Eat Street, a street food market at King’s Boulevard (behind St Pancras International train station). It opens Wednesdays to Fridays from 10am-3pm and is where London’s best known vendors gather. Look out for cult burger vendor The Meat Wagon and Vietnamese baguette seller Banhmi11 (right).

2. A Brew Fest

Beer lovers, this one’s for you: The Liverpool Beer Festival, organised by Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), will happen from February 16-18. It’s where you’ll be able to sample over 220 beers, ales, ciders and perries (pear ciders), and chat with local and international artisan brewers.

3. Butter Me Up

For a calorific treat while in windy Edinburgh, look for deepfried butter balls at The Fiddlers Elbow pub. Coated in Irn-Bru (a citrus-flavoured soft drink) batter and served with Irn-Bru ice cream, the snack – called Braveheart Butter Bombs – was actually invented and made popular in the US. There’s also a version with whisky.
