CRUFTS SHOW

Dubbed the largest of its kind in the world, this canine expo attracts nearly 28,000 dogs and owners each year. Held in Birmingham, there will be several competitions for various dog breeds – judging standards for each breed is determined by The Kennel Club – with the most coveted title being Best in Show.

ELEPHANT FESTIVAL

Staged at Chaugan Stadium in Jaipur, usually on the day before the colourful Holi festival, this annual event features an elephant parade, comprising female elephants dressed in the most elaborate and colourful jhools (saddle cloth) and heavy jewellery. If you’re lucky, you may be invited to ride the creatures.

LE TOUR DE LANGKAWI

This 17th edition of Malaysia’s premier multi-stage cycling race will begin with an individual time trial along a 20.3km course in Putrajaya, and will end in Terengganu. In total, the race will cover some 1,415km and is expected to feature 22 local and international professional racing teams.
